The students signed on to Interfaith Principles for the reform of Toxic Chemical Substance Act.

Newington class checks blue prints at United Methodist for insulation needs

The Newington class of This Old House of Worship was unusually strong, bringing in congregants from 7 area communities, including an Islamic mosque. The strong teams included members with an environmental commitment and a passion for saving money in their congregations.  Since two of the congregations did not have a chance to host a class (and thereby receive their “free audit”) the group decided to dispatch teams to the Berlin mosque and the Unitarian Universalist facility on a voluntary basis.
The first follow up audit – we’re calling them Pass It On audits – happened on March 20.  We had a great tour of this lovely building and the two small houses which serve as community centers for the Islamic Association in Berlin.
Funding for This Old House of Worship is renewed for 2012 – so we can help YOUR community increase its stewardship and savings!
